Fort Huachuca, home of the U.S. Army Intelligence Center and the U.S. Army Network Enterprise Technology Command (NETCOM)/9th Army Signal Command. Located in Cochise County, in southeast Arizona, about 15 miles north of the border with Mexico, Fort Huachuca was annexed in 1971 by the city of Sierra Vista and was declared a national landmark in 1976. Fort Huachuca is also the headquarters of Army Military Affiliate Radio System (MARS) and the Joint Interoperability Test Command (JITC) and the Electronic Proving Ground (EPG). Libby Army Airfield is located on post and shares the runway with Sierra Vista Municipal Airport; it is on the list of alternate landing locations for the space shuttle, though it has never been used as such.

Located just off Buffalo Soldier Trail on historic Fort Huachuca in Sierra Vista, AZ is one of the jewels of southern Arizona golf. Welcome to the great southwest! The Fort Huachuca Exchange, located within the confines of Sierra Vista, Arizona extends a heartfelt welcome to one and all. Fort Huachuca has a seasoned and proud history with the United States Armed Forces, being a product of the Indian Wars of the 1870's and 1880's. In early 1877 an order was handed down by the War Department, that a camp be established in or near the Huachuca Mountains. It was deemed necessary for the protection of the settlers and the travel routes that were opening up. At the same time there was a need to block the traditional Apache escape routes through the valleys of these mountains to safety and sanctuary in Mexico. As you can imagine, there is a wealth of history at this 129 year old, 73,272 acre Army post. Which I might add, boasts the distinction of being the "Home of the Original Buffalo Soldiers". Fort Huachuca is the major installation in Arizona, and one of the most prominent in the southwest. The Exchange facilities at Fort Huachuca are proud to serve the men and women of the U. S. Our History Kief-Joshua Vineyards is a small family business with 20 acres in beautiful Elgin, Arizona and 40 acres in Kansas Settlement, Arizona. Our Elgin tasting room is open daily and is situated right in the middle of what is know as "winery row." The Sonoita Wine Tour boasts of ten different tasting rooms and was selected by USA Today as one of the top ten wine trails in the United States. Our first planting was in 2005 and we have about 15 acres under vine, consisting of such varieties as Tempranillo,Mourvedre, Petit Verdot, Cabernet Franc, Chenin Blanc, Syrah, Zinfandel, Reisling, Semillion and Viognier. Our first harvest and Estate wine release from our vineyard in Sonoita was in 2008. We will be planting on our 40 acre vineyard, located in Kansas Settlement in 2012. The idea to start a vineyard and winery stemmed from a long standing hobby of winemaking and gardening at home. "Kief was making wine in his home in Tempe," said Jeff Manning, Wine Sales Manager. "The day we tasted his lemon wine, which was made from fruit off a tree in his backyard, I knew he had found his passion." In 2002, after the decision was made to open a winery, the house was sold, the property purchased and Kief Manning left Arizona State University, to pursue Viticulture studies in Australia, where he earned both a graduate and undergraduate degree in Viticulture and Enology. Kief practices traditional winemaking methods of minimal interference, open fermentation and barrel aging. In 2006, Kief eliminated the use of herbicides and pesticides in the vineyard. "We strive for excellence in winemaking and sustainability in our vineyard," says Kief. "With time, I hope to produce outstanding Arizona wines that demonstrate the intensity, richness and complexity of the area." Our journey to Arizona wine country began years ago, when Tim made dandelion wine during high school. Then he married the nature-loving and adventuresome Joan. After college we headed west to San Francisco, making frequent trips to what was then the young pioneering wine country of Napa Valley. Next came 25 years of busy professional life and raising our two children in Arizona and then Rhode Island. Still, wherever we traveled we visited local small wineries and talked with the owners, and all the while Tim was making wine in our basement. Joan PickingIn 2003, in a huge leap of faith, we returned to the West to start our own vineyard and winery in Sonoita. Winemaker Tim left his academic job at Brown University for the chance to devote himself to the art and science of wine making. Joan retired from her successful counseling practice, and now works harder than ever as the business manager and farmer. Daughter Kathryn is our director of marketing, and our son Ian and his wife Rhian contribute design expertise and manual labor. Rancho Rossa Vineyards is one of the largest family owned wineries in the Sonoita AVA. We produce about 1100 cases of wine each year from our 24 acres of estate fruit. We do not purchase any fruit or bulk wine and we are proudly the only winery in the area that can say that. We specialize in ultra-premium dry varietal bottling's. We planted our first vines in 2002 and made our first wines in 2004. Our tasting room opened in 2006. We are open for tasting Fri.-Sun. 10:30-3:30. We are located 6 miles SE of the town of Sonoita. From I-10 head south on 83 to the town of Sonoita. Continue south on 83 for 4.5 miles to Elgin Rd. Turn left and head east for 1.6 miles to Cattle Ranch Ln. Turn left and the winery entrance is ¼ mile on the left. For every bottle of wine that we sell out of the winery, we will donate $0.10 to the American Cancer Society.

Dos Cabezas WineWorks is a family-owned and operated winery that challenges the perception that Arizona does not produce exceptional wines. Dos Cabezas WineWorks has been producing wines in Arizona since 1995. The winery was originally located on the 80 acre Dos Cabezas Vineyard near Willcox, AZ. Safeway, the Start-Up In 1915, M.B. Skaggs, an ambitious young man in the small Idaho town of American Falls, purchased a tiny grocery store from his father. A Museum of Native American Archaeology, Art, History & Culture Founded in 1937 by William Shirley Fulton, the Amerind Foundation is a private nonprofit 501(c)(3) anthropological and archaeological museum and research center dedicated to the preservation and interpretation of Native American cultures and their histories. Located in spectacular Texas Canyon in the Little Dragoon Mountains of southeastern Arizona, the Amerind houses one of the finest private collections of Native American art and artifacts in the country.

Queen Mine Underground Tours Outfitted in hard hat, miner’s headlamp and a yellow slicker, thousands of Bisbee visitors descend into the Queen Mine Tour each year—heading underground and back in time. Tour guides, retired Phelps Dodge employees, lead the group 1,500 feet into the mine and recount mining days, techniques, dangers and drama. Adding a personal touch, the miner-turned-tour guides help visitors experience what it was like to work underground. Five tours depart each day, seven days a week, from the Queen Mine Tour Building, located immediately south of Old Bisbee’s business district, off the U.S. 80 interchange. Tours Start at: 9:00am, 10:30am, Noon, 2:00pm, 3:30pm $13 for adults $5.50 for ages 4-12 (taxes are included) Children under 4 are free. Prices subject to change Tours last approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes. It is always a cool 47 degrees Fahrenheit (4 degrees Celsius) underground! Reservations are suggested. The Coronado Expedition It was a journey of exploration, filled with wonder and cruelty. Inspired by rumors of vast quantities of gold, 339 soldiers and over 1100 Indian allies embarked on an epic journey through arid deserts and rugged mountains. They brought rich traditions and new technology into the southwest, irrevocably changing the lives of the native peoples and continuing to influence the area today.

About Us The VFW traces its roots back to 1899 when veterans of the Spanish-American War (1898) and the Philippine Insurrection (1899-1902) founded local organizations to secure rights and benefits for their service: Many arrived home wounded or sick. There was no medical care or veterans' pension for them,and they were left to care for themselves. In their misery, some of these veterans banded together and formed organizations with what would become known as the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States. After chapters were formed in Ohio, Colorado and Pennsylvania, the movement quickly gained momentum. By 1915, membership grew to 5,000; by 1936, membership was almost 200,000. Since then, the VFW's voice had been instrumental in establishing the Veterans Administration, creating a GI bill for the 20th century, the development of the national cemetery system and the fight for compensation for Vietnam vets exposed to Agent Orange and for veterans diagnosed with Gulf War Syndrome. In 2008, VFW won a long-fought victory with the passing of a GI Bill for the 21st Century, giving expanded educational benefits to America's active-duty service members, and members of the Guard and Reserves, fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan. The VFW also has fought for improving VA medical centers services for women veterans. Besides helping fund the creation of the Vietnam, Korean War, World War II and Women in Military Service memorials, the VFW in 2005 became the first veterans' organization to contribute to building the new Disabled Veterans for Life Memorial, which opened in November 2010. Annually, the 2.1 million members of the VFW and its Auxiliary contribute more than 11 million hours of volunteerism in the community, including participation in Make A Difference Day and National Volunteer Week. From providing over $3 million in college scholarships and savings bonds to students every year, to encouraging elevation of the Department of Veterans Affairs to the president's cabinet, the VFW is there.

The Southern Arizona Veterans' Memorial Cemetery’s hours of operation are Monday through Friday 0800 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. SAVMC administrative operations is closed on weekends, and state holidays. The Arizona Department of Veterans’ Services has established the cemetery on approximately 145 acres of land which was previously part of Ft. Huachuca Military Reservation. The cemetery entrance is south of Fry Boulevard on Buffalo Solder Trail. The state veterans’ cemetery has been made possible by a grant from the VA State Cemetery Grant Service in the amount of $7.7 million for construction and equipment. The Groundbreaking Ceremony for the Southern Arizona Veterans Memorial Cemetery was held October 1, 2001 and construction started the next day. The cemetery dedication was held on October 26th; interments began on Dec 3rd. The beautification projects for the veteran's cemetery is sponsored by the Southern Arizona Veterans Memorial Cemetery Foundation by donations. Eligibility- Any veteran who has an other than dishonorable discharge is eligible for burial in the SAVMC. Spouses and certain dependents are also eligible for burial. There is no charge for interment for veterans and a one time nominal fee of $300 for eligible spouses and dependents. Veterans may choose: 1. A columbaria niche (which includes an inscribed granite niche marker) or 2. A full-casket, in-ground burial (which includes an inscribed upright grave marker and a single or double concrete crypt liner). 3. Memorial bronze markers, for individuals or groups, are furnished for eligible deceased active duty service members and Veterans whose remains are not recovered or identified, are buried at sea, donated to science or whose cremated remains have been scattered. Applications for burial are available at the cemetery; most funeral homes in Arizona also have copies of the application. Mr. Bays is a former Marine Corps Judge Advocate (military attorney) who was awarded by the American Bar Association (ABA) for his aggressive and courageous advocacy. Mr. Bays is an alumnus of Arizona State University where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Marketing and International Business. He received his Juris Doctorate (Law Degree) from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law in Sacramento, California. Between his first and second years of law school, he studied law in England with English Barristers associated with the Inns of Court.

Mr. Farro graduated from Charles M. Russell High School in Great Falls Montana in 1971. After spending time in Denver, Colorado and attending a community college, Mr. Farro joined the United States Army Special Forces in 1973. He was a member of the Army 10th Special Forces Group and on a Green Beret Scuba "A"-Team. He completed his tour in 1976. In the fall of 1976 Mr. Farro enrolled at the University of Montana, in Missoula Montana. He graduated in 1979, magna cum laude, with a degree in Political Science. That same year Mr. Farro began Law School at the University of Montana, and graduated in 1982. In June 1982 he was admitted to the Montana State Bar, to which he maintains an inactive membership. Mr. Farro joined the United States Air Force in 1983 with a commission as a Captain, Judge Advocate General. He was stationed at Keflavik Naval Air Station in Reykjavik, Iceland and taught business law for the University of Maryland. After leaving Iceland, he was stationed at Davis Monthan Air Force base in Tucson, Arizona, where he taught Aviation Law for Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. Mr. Farro was admitted to the Arizona State Bar in 1986. After completing his Air Force tour in 1987, Mr. Farro moved to Sierra Vista, Arizona, where he has been practicing in the legal fields of Family Law, Criminal Defense, and Military matters. In total, Mr. Farro has more than twenty-four years of legal experience. Mr. Farro’s hobbies include playing piano, golf, and competitive bodybuilding. He has won numerous amateur bodybuilding titles.
